How to Help

Your support powers more than a school, it fuels a community of girls, families, and programs working together to create lasting change. Whether you’re near or far, there are meaningful ways to connect with and be part of the SEGA story.

Volunteer Opportunities

In Tanzania

Volunteering at SEGA offers a unique opportunity to directly support students while building skills and cross-cultural connections. Our service-learning placements range from one week to three months or more, with opportunities to contribute capacity-building skills in:

  • English as a Foreign Language (EFL)

  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

  • Science and Art

  • Marketing and Communications

In the United States

You don’t have to travel to make a meaningful impact. Volunteers across the U.S. play a critical role in advancing our mission and expanding SEGA’s reach.

You can:

  • Lead locally by starting or joining a Nurturing Minds chapter

  • Mobilize your network by launching a personal fundraising campaign

  • Bring people together by hosting a gathering or awareness event

  • Use your voice to share stories and advocate for girls’ education

  • Apply your skills to support projects in communications, education, or strategy

School Partnerships

Build Global Connections. Grow Future Leaders.

A SEGA School Partnership is more than a club, it’s an opportunity for students to engage in global learning, leadership, and meaningful connection.

Through partnership with SEGA in Tanzania, students build relationships across cultures while actively supporting girls’ education. These experiences foster empathy, leadership, and a deeper understanding of the world.

School partners may:

  • Launch a student-led SEGA club

  • Exchange letters and videos with SEGA students

  • Host cultural learning events and discussions

  • Lead fundraising efforts tied to real SEGA needs

  • Collaborate on cross-cultural projects

  • Travel to Tanzania and experience SEGA firsthand

Hear from the Portsmouth High School SEGA Club advisor as she reflects on the power and lasting impact of cross-cultural exchange.

What families are saying:

"She loves to share her experiences from Tanzania with anyone who will listen and was inspired to start a club to bring that experience to others."
— Father of a School Partnership Club Leader
