Spark Innovation Through STEAM!

Help SEGA Girls’ School students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through hands-on, project-based learning!

We are recruiting 15 volunteers to join our STEAM Adventures at SEGA program in 2026! This is your chance to support students as they gain practical experience in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math while being part of an exciting, transformative program at SEGA Girls’ School. If you are adaptable, curious, and ready to embrace a fun, hands-on teaching experience, we want you on our team!

Volunteers will work with students ages 14 and older, guiding them through STEAM projects that build creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. SEGA students are bright, motivated, and eager to learn, but often have limited exposure to hands-on STEAM experiences. You will guide them to design, experiment, and present their own projects, encouraging innovation, confidence, and curiosity along the way.

Volunteers should have a love for STEM, the arts, teaching, or project-based learning! You will work in a small, supportive team of volunteers, rotating through student groups, and collaborating closely with SEGA staff and program leaders to deliver a pre-designed curriculum.

Beyond the classroom, the program offers opportunities to immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture, participate in school events, and explore the local area, including the chance to experience Africa’s world-renowned wildlife on a 2-day safari!
