Self-Sustainability
The Sega Girls School is working
toward becoming a
fully self-sustaining facility
The Sega Girls School offers as many
places as possible to vulnerable girls, who do not have the means to pay for their education. We aim to achieve long-term
financial self-sustainability through ways other than charging fees for education. The School is achieving financial self-sustainability through: - Operation of student-run businesses that will both generate income for long-term sustainability and teach the students business and entrepreneurship skills.
- Installation of solar panels and equipment that will allow the School
campus to operate on solar energy
- Installation of rainwater capture and storage equipment
that will supply the School campus with a renewable source of water
- Cultivation of organic gardens that will provide fruit and vegetables for the staff and students.
